Fun Mom Dinner

Directed By ALETHEA JONES

“…a cheerfully scatty, diverting adult comedy that gives four lovably funny actresses some broadly silly, dirty material to play with…” – Variety

Somewhere in a well-to-do corner of Los Angeles, four mothers – with more or less nothing in common but their kids being in the same preschool class – get together for supposedly harmless and fun dinner. On paper, they should never be friends. There’s social pariah Kate (Toni Collette), a dope-smoking mother of four rowdy boys. There’s the stressed-out Emily (Katie Aselton), a former hotshot lawyer adjusting poorly to motherhood. There’s newly-divorced Jamie (Molly Shannon), tentatively getting back on the dating scene; and rounding out the quartet is feisty, no-nonsense Melanie (Bridget Everett). When their night suddenly takes an unexpected turn, these unlikely new friends realize they have more in common that just marriage and motherhood, and there’s more to each of them than meets the eye. Together they seize the chance to reclaim something of their former lives in an unforgettable night fuelled by booze and karaoke. Fun Mom Dinner is everything you want in a feel-good comedy farce: light, bright, peppy, cheeky, a little bit dirty and a whole lot of lovable. Sit back, pour the wine and get ready to laugh.
